I realized just now I never posted about it, but my team won (well, tied for) 2nd place in FJORG! You can watch our movie here:

The magical Ms. Olivares provided the art direction for our short, so I can’t take credit at all for how awesome it looks. I moved things around in Maya. And provided moral and emotional support.

HOLY COW. Summer has flown by!

Monday marks the beginning of FJORG!, the crazy animation viking death-match I’m super excited to be able to be a part of:

“Sixteen three-person teams of CG animators from around the world forgo sleep and resist several staged distractions for 32 non-stop hours to produce the best character-driven animation in the universe.”

If anyone out there will be at Siggraph, please stop by the fishtank and cheer us on — Miss Lindsey Olivares and the website-less Hunter Brown are a trifecta of animation magic (we hope)!

Also, my film will be showing/competing at the San Diego Asian Film Festival in October this year. I may or may not be down there to see it play, but hooray!
