My buddy Alex went around and took pictures of all the Cloudy animators a while back, and just recently posted them up on our little internal webspace thing. Here’s mine… it was right after my unfortunate fall down the parking lot staircase, hence the butt donut and prescription meds.
Or, you can also watch it here! I animated the shot where the rockets go off and Flint goes “YES!!!” – woohoo!

For the Redrawn Blog!
So I entered my thesis into a contest at aniBoom.com. With enough votes/views, I might have a chance to win prize monies! I need to be in the top 50 in order to be looked at by the panel of judges, and right now I’m clinging in at #44. :( Help!
Please watch and/or vote for meeee! (And yeah, something funky happened with the aspect ratio when I uploaded it. Fdhgfdghkd.)
So I found my journal from when I was in second grade. I’m not sure about other public school systems, but LAUSD required us to keep a journal that we were supposed to write in during class. Anyway, I found a few gems I had to share:

For the past few weeks I’ve been taking an online storyboarding class through Schoolism.com. Here’s some quick character doodles for my latest assignment (I’m a bit behind… ack) based on a script called “The Dysfunctional Dam.”
Have I mentioned how I hate creating interior home environments? I automatically think of a couch, a lamp and a TV. And the rest of the house is empty.
My senior thesis, “Snow Day,” (along with another animated short by the same title; I’m so creative) has been featured in Episode #143 on Channel Frederator!
The video/sound quality came out extra crummy though, which is a little sad. Probably my fault for uploading a compressed file.

I realized just now I never posted about it, but my team won (well, tied for) 2nd place in FJORG! You can watch our movie here:
The magical Ms. Olivares provided the art direction for our short, so I can’t take credit at all for how awesome it looks. I moved things around in Maya. And provided moral and emotional support.
If you’d like to find out more about FJORG, here’s a documentary created by Mike Shu, affectionately known as The Steadicam Guy. I think it sums up the experience nicely. (AND LOOK WE’RE IN THE THUMBNAIL IMAGE!)
